Design Aesthetic moodboard
For the Print Trend Collection Project, I explored the Generative AI Print Design features in Adobe Illustrator to create dynamic and compelling repeat print designs. This process involved applying the elements and principles of design to ensure visual appeal and translating consumer and trend research into manufacturable and marketable prints.
I was tasked with designing for the brand George, focusing on creating three repeat print patterns tailored to their target demographic: men in their 40s. My designs were informed by in-depth market analysis, which helped me align the prints with consumer preferences and ensure their relevance to the brand’s aesthetic and commercial goals.
Through this project, I gained valuable experience in integrating cutting-edge AI tools with traditional design principles, allowing me to streamline the creative process while maintaining high-quality results. I also sharpened my ability to translate research into actionable designs, a skill essential for creating market-driven products. This experience will benefit my future endeavors by enhancing my technical proficiency, improving my understanding of consumer needs, and refining my ability to develop designs that are both innovative and commercially viable.
The goal of this project was to design a comfortable and casual apparel line consisting of 3-5 textile-based items that promote waterway-conscious sustainability. The process began with researching environmental issues related to waterways and exploring sustainable design possibilities. From there, I identified a target market and selected an inspiration to guide the collection.
I developed a cohesive color palette, created detailed flat sketches and fashion illustrations, and designed a custom print. All elements of the collection were then organized and presented on a professional, poster-sized artboard, showcasing the vision and intent behind the line.
This project taught me the importance of integrating sustainability into design by understanding environmental challenges and translating them into practical, stylish solutions. I enhanced my ability to research and conceptualize designs for a specific demographic, refined my skills in creating cohesive visual presentations, and deepened my commitment to creating fashion that is both mindful and marketable.
