My name is Tyler McGuirk, and I’m currently a senior at the University of Missouri, studying Textile and Apparel Management with a focus on Product Development. My work is heavily influenced by natural materials such as bones, pearls, and stones, as well as by the ways fabric can reshape and challenge conventional forms of the body. My designs have been featured in venues, including the Missouri Historical Society and the Ginger Rogers Gala, and I run a jewelry brand, Dice Jewels, with pieces displayed in the St. Louis Contemporary Art Museum. My goal is to merge my love for garment construction and jewelry-making by incorporating metal and other elements into my designs. I am eager to continue growing my expertise in both areas and eventually aim to run my own jewelry business. My skills in garment construction, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft applications, and jewelry crafting uniquely position me to contribute creatively and technically to future opportunities.
